10389027_514630715334146_3755011267638735954_nStarting in mid-August, our current members came back to the house early for “Work Week” where they practiced the door chant, talking to potential new members and got the house ready for the upcoming week! They also played fun sisterhood games and got to celebrate the end of the week with the “Chant Off,” singing  chants with other sororities around greek town.

Recruitment began and 1,978 women were welcomed into the house to talk about Greek Life and Sigma Kappa. As the week came to a close, new members were mutually selected

Bid Day began with seniors on the quad, welcoming the new members with hugs and cheer! Then the new members and seniors watched the Pi Chis (recruitment counselors) reveal what sororities they are in while everyone shouted their respective chapter’s door chant. After that, everyone headed back to the house for more Bid Day fun.

When the new members arrived at the house, they found their name written on a sign held by their Bid Day buddy.10348431_516848421779042_2708959746264396401_n10576973_515690848561466_4479940351093873311_n

Epsilon Mu’s Bid Day theme was “Woodstock” and the new members were given flower crowns and a Sigma Kappa bag full of goodies. There was also a vintage VW bus photo booth from The Photo Bus STL at the house all day to take photos. For lunch, burgers and hot dogs were served.

The women spent the rest of the afternoon taking group photos and getting to know the new members!
