This weekend, we went to the Lake of the Ozarks for our sisterhood retreat. We stayed at the beautiful Tan-Tar-A Resort and enjoyed spending quality time together!
We started the trip with a bonfire overlooking the lake. We had delicious s’mores and enjoyed the view.
“Being a new member has been overwhelming at times,” Madeleine Rayborn said, “but it was fun to just hang out with the girls of Sigma Kappa and chill after my first week of college.”
In the morning, everyone woke up early to get some breakfast before Sisterhood Chair Marlee Ribnick led us in games to get to know one another better. We hung out at the outdoor pool for the rest of the morning, before eating lunch and heading back home!
“Rooming with two initiated members was fun because I was able to ask what it’s like to be a full member and how being in sigma kappa has helped them grow as women,” Madeleine said.
Sisterhood is very important to our chapter, and each semester we set aside time to spend with one another.
“We’re always sticking up for each other and making each other the best version of ourselves,” Megan Voorhis said. “They’ll tell me what I need to hear rather than what I want to hear when I’m going to a sister for advice.”
